Volaris, officially known as Concesionaria Vuela Compañia de Aviacion, is an Mexican low-cost airline based in Santa Fe, Alvaro Obregon, Mexico City. The airline operates its major flights from its bases in Cancun, Culiacan, Guadalajara, Leon/Del Bajio, Mexico City and Monterrey. Volaris Airlines is known for being Mexico’s largest airline by transporting passengers on both domestic and international routes.

Volaris Airlines and its Cabin Configuration

Volaris began its operation from Mexico City in September 2010 and soon took over the routes of two other Mexican Airlines, Aerocalifornia and Mexicana. In June 2012, the airline launched its own loyalty program called VClub. The airline membership program allows customers to have special fares, offers and last minute deals and other perks. However, Volaris is a low-cost airline, thus it does not offer a business or first class cabin.

Volaris Economy Class

The airline only offers single -class configuration with 174 seats in Economy Class. The seats in Volaris Airlines flights are usually configured in 3-3 layout with a pitch of 28-30 inches and a width of 18 inches. Checked Baggage Allowance

As per Volaris Airlines checked baggage allowance, the checked bag allowance depends on the different fare type and booking class. It also depends on the route and destination of the flight.

Domestic Travel

• As per Volaris Airlines baggage policy, Volaris Basic, Volaris Classic and Volaris Plus fares do not include checked baggage for flights within Mexico. 
• The weight of each checked bag must not exceed 55 pounds (25 kg) and the maximum linear dimension must not exceed 62 inches (158 cm) as per Volaris Checked baggage policy.

International Travel

• Passengers travelling in Volaris Airlines Basic and Classic do not include checked baggage for international flights.

Volaris Airlines Cancellation and Refund Policy

Volaris Airlines cancellation policy allows passengers to have flexibility while travelling. However, there are few regulations that passengers should abide by in case of cancellation to receive refunds. 

• Passengers can cancel Volaris Flight within 24 hours of purchasing their ticket to receive a full refund. However, as per Volaris Airlines cancellation policy, the passengers must ensure that they are booked 7 days prior to the departure of the flight. 
• As per Volaris Airlines reviews, passengers will be charged a cancellation fee if they fail to cancel the reservation within 24 hours. 
• The cancellation fee will vary depending on the type of ticket, whether refundable, non-refundable. 
• In case of non-refundable tickets, the airline will credit flight refunds in the form of travel points as per Volaris cancellation policy.

Volaris Cancellation Fee

According to Volaris Airlines Cancellation policy, the airline charges a certain cancellation fee if they cancel the flight. However, the cancellation fees depend on various factors like type of ticket, reversal timing, time left between the departure and cancellation and destination.

Volaris Airlines Refund Policy

The airline provides a flexible and generous refund policy to customers in case of cancellation. Usually the airline takes 7 business days to 20 business days to get a credit refund depending on the payment method. 

• A passenger is eligible for full refund if they cancel their flight within 24 hours of booking the flight given that the flight is scheduled 7 days from the date of purchase of Volaris Airlines flight ticket. 
• On the other hand, if the cancellation is done after the 24 hours risk-free period, the airline will charge a certain cancellation fee. 
• In case of a refundable ticket, the value of the ticket will be credited after the deduction of cancellation fee. 
• As per Volaris Airlines cancellation policy, passengers are not eligible for any refund if the booking is cancelled within 7 days of departure of the flight.
